I think that the reason we don’t need to worry about the efficacy of Vance or even Mike Johnson administration is that that’s not how Cults work. The Maga Base pretty much loathes Vance. He will not have the charismatic control that Trump has been able to wield.

The head of our country’s government is in the early stages of consolidating total power. We must of course reject this, but that is not enough. We have to respond by creating a different and better kind of American politics than we have seen before.
