Show Postmany brands will have models you can replace the nibs of, but they might not be a starter model (lamy safari does, though, iirc) another thing to consider is handfeel, so if you have the ability to go to a stationary store to try stuff out, i think it'd be a good idea!!
Show Posteven writing can wear down the nib over time, but i've heard that drawing can make it wear down faster bc of the varying amnts of pressure and bigger motions? so there's absolutely pros and cons to using fountain pens for drawing bc of that
