I can't even recommend it for freaks. The only effective way to actually enjoy xenogears is to 1) be autistically obsessed with one of the cast, Elly, Id, or Bart mainly, or 2) watch a summary video on youtube by a pseudo-literate fan who'll trick you into believing that it's good actually.

I was just using Pyra/Mythra's art as style reference, but in redesigning Elly I was thinking like "okay now, how can I interpret her Gebler outfit into something you'd more likely see in Xenoblade 2....but keep what makes it *Xenogears*?🤔",
