As a kid my mom would bring back vanilla extract from haiti because it was much much cheaper. It was sold in like LITER bottles (maybe 750 mL I was a child and I didn't do metric) I had a beef with vanilla for so long because I drank the extract and vanilla extract drank directly tastes bad!
