The terrorism charge was always complete bullshit. Even if the prosecution's accusations were 100% accurate (ie, no factual disputes), the alleged actions would not amount to terrorism by any rational definition.

My long-running opposition to hate speech laws is that "hate speech" is ambiguously defined, with unavoidably subjective elements, and there's no way to prevent the govt from defining expression it disagrees with as hate speech. Although I should also note they're doing this without a dedicated law.
