Honky tonk girl. Collector of all things music. I write about old country and blues, mostly because I love the history of rock n’ roll. I am currently the lead singer and bassist for a Midwest country/rockabilly band you’ve never heard of.

You spent the day partying and relaxing. I spent the day with Len and Jacob Horowitz, the record lathe gurus. They're helping me with the new installation of a Grampian/Gotham cutting head and cutting amplifier. It's the Rolls Royce of mono cutting systems, made in the mid-50s. Thanks Len and Jacob!
Show PostLooking forward to all these shows with myself and the Whippersnappers coming up in June! A nice tour up the West Coast, some cool local shows, some new recordings and a new video in the works! Stay tuned! Thanks Bert Avalos for always making such great flyers! See you soooon....

I’ve actually got a box of Australian country 78s en route that I’m really excited to feature next.

This girl has been catching rabbits in the back yard and proudly bringing them to me a lot this week. She doesn’t seem to be hurting them but she’s definitely traumatizing them. It’s impressive though. She’s so fast.
