Another LOTR one: Aragorn's knife deflection from Lurtz was real. The actor playing him was nearsighted and just threw the knife vaguely in the direction of a blurry shape with the intent of missing, and it went straight at him. But Viggo's such a badass that he legit deflected it with his sword.
