there is nothing i find less sexy than people who say "i just want to turn my brain off"/"I just want someone to turn my brain off" re: having sex. where did this phrase come from? why is it everywhere?

that isn't what dana said though, which is the problem. for example, the amphibia creator said "we didn't intend marcy to be autistic while writing her, but we're glad that autistic people relate to her!". would be a really different response if all he said was "No, Marcy isn't autistic."

i remember thinking knights of guinevere's pilot was ok, but the shit with frankie was such a bummer that i don't really want to watch more

Show Post

and then i watched the pilot and saw the character and it was just a bummer, man. like transfem experiences are so foreign to the TME creative that they can conjure one wholesale in complete ignorance

Show Post

like i got exposed to the discourse first, someone thinking that frankie might be transfem and dana urgently and coldly shooting it down & then seeing every TME person on the planet be like "gen z is trying to cancel eminem" and "isn't it more revolutionary for the masculine girl to be cis actually"
