Tbf, I think that the Forstater case led to a ruling that her bigoted beliefs were Worthy Of Respect In A Democratic Society (WORIADS) but if she treated somebody negatively at work because of her WORIADS beliefs then she was in trouble.

like ebaums world before them, AI companies are making stealing from people normal through sheer brute force they do not care what's fair, what's sustainable, or what people want. they will simply gobble up whatever they want, and fart it back to you, to their benefit

it took decades but we evolved a sort of silent agreement to deal with most of these problems. give credit where it's due, compensate artists, etc. it doesn't work well, but the values we developed over decades are all quietly there and AI companies are flouting all of it. they simply do not care
