I really don't think playing Michkov & Martone 13-15 mins per night is hurting their development much. I think both will be fine long-term. You don't need 18-20 to develop. I just think it's a bad short-term deployment strategy. Play your most dangerous players more, profit.
Show PostA couple things here: 1. Worth noting it was 14:29 on Saturday, not 15-16. 2. Seems pretty clear Tocchet still is focused on shielding Michkov from what he deems to be tough matchups. 3. Doesn't sound like he's going to be increasing Michkov's ice time in the near future.
Show PostAsked Tocchet about Michkov, and the fact that his TOI/game this season is just 2 seconds more through 10 games than it was last season.

Big Martone rebound goes right to Michkov, and he makes no mistake. PP goal and it's 2-1 Flyers. The kids are apparently alright.
