I like that the verification record includes the displayName and handle as well. So in theory you could highlight in the UI that an identity is verified, but the handle and/or name has changed since that verification was done.

Bluesky verification is only superficially similar to X.509 CAs, and for the better. CAs could kinda issue a cert for your site unilaterally, but they can't install it on your server. This is a force for centralization. OTOH, any account can verify you and any client can consume that verification.
Show PostOk, this is neat. Any account can publish verification records, and the Bluesky Trusted Verifiers are just the ones preloaded in the official client. Similarly to how moderation works with labelers.
