twitter is insane. a straight guy makes a lesbophobic joke about how lesbians are domestic abusers and everyone assumes that the person is a lesbian instead of a homophobe, for some fucking reason, and they start going off about how lesbians are all biphobic abusers like... WAKE UP!!

preaching to the choir ik but i'm so tired man. if you get suspicious when people paint any other minority group as Violent Abusers but easily and willingly believe that whenever it is said about lesbians i am sorry to tell you this but you are lesbophobic and you should fix your heart or die

it sucks so bad man. people, and i do mean members of the lgbt community as well as proven, love to spread the harmful and false statistics about lesbians being domestic abusers and not think for a second about how bigoted that is and how they might just genuinely be prejudiced towards lesbians

some people seriously seem to think that "mean lesbian" is just a haha funny character trope in fiction and not something rooted in actual harmful rhetoric about how women who don't like men are not only aggressive and disagreeable but in worst cases domestic abusers and inherently bad people

i know it's twitter but tbh this is constant, everywhere. i think for some reason other people in the lgbt community see lesbians as some privileged group (??) and love perpetuating the "mean lesbian" stereotype and can't for even a second consider that lesbians are targets of oppression and bigotry
