i also do like that it sets us up with halmie and calyx not necessarily agreeing with each other's reasoning for doing what they're doing. it could be easy to pull calyx onto a different side by engaging with his desperation

i think taking the tragic angle w/him being a villain bc he is effectively frozen in a moment of terror for his mortality is rly cool, and thus i think if he were to realize he needs to confront that fear and find a way to help life thrive in spite of the circumstances would be a rly cool move

I've been saying since day one that I really need evercold to give us a deeper look into just what it must have been like to be a terminally ill child, locked in that snapshot. I need to get this kid on my side by understanding the trauma he's been through so I can help him any way I can.
