nixos dares to ask the question "what if we gave you a theoretically perfect and pure system that you can reproduce exactly" but makes and kind of config changes or maintenance such a pain in the ass it's not worth it if you want the goal of a stable computer that you can use things on
Show Postnix (language) is kind of arcane and stupid in some places but overall it's not thaaat bad... nixpkgs has a lot of packages, but (opinion) it's managed poorly and (objective) i've had personal experiences with a lot of packages plain not working correctly with how they're packaged...
