The third (and last) chapter of my PhD with @kguschan.bsky.social is out on bioRxiv! Animal domestication is associated with morphological, behavioural and physiological changes and, as was discovered more recently, changes in the gut microbiome 🦠 But what happens to other microbiomes?

Sampling brown china mark moths (Elophila nymphaeata) to study their adaptations (aquatic caterpillars) this past week. I never fully appreciated the diversity of wing patterns between individuals in this species! #moths
