i forget which 20th century abstract artist said this, i think it was joan miro, but they lamented that music was the only medium where audiences readily embrace pure abstraction, whereas with visual art people expect direction and representation. i think thats why i like music

the awesomest part is that now when I want to do drugs in the house I can say "Mommy i'm tripping tomorrow" and she will finally actually understand what that means, so instead of going "holy shit my child is going to overdose on narcotic drugs" she'll instead go "oh okay honey good luck have fun (:
