No, the bar is exactly where it was. Theranos was the work of a con artist, not a failure of science. So yes, peer review is required, as is cautious skepticism, just as it has been.

Brilliant! This is what we should be supporting, Instead of cutting funds. This is the types of things we should spend our money on instead of wars. Science and kindness have to make a huge resurgent in the US and around the world.
