No, not just you. The fact that we struggle probably means we loved them the way they deserved to be but being decent human beings we probably feel guilty that we could have done more, been better. That's my story anyways. My pups now are spoiled to no end because of it.

I think I have PTSD from working in an animal shelter in the 90's and I try so hard to avoid bad or sad stories about animals but it's truly impossible. I love them so much and it kills me to to see or hear about that😢
