Reciprocity is so important and I wish people understood how valued it is and how necessary it is for creating trust. It *is* one of the foundational elements of trust in social groups “Don’t take more than you’re given” and “don’t give more than you can lose” are so embedded in our societies

Now it feels like whoever has the most power in an exchange is the person who can generate the most asymmetrical workloads possible. Externalising all of their effort onto others and multiplying that with AI. Effectively drowning out anything not in your agenda with endless toil Thats not great!

This is a big problem and it's not something you can simply wave away by saying "well you should use the tools in kind." In many organizations, there are *enforced* asymmetries! Even if they wanted to, they probably couldn't!
