I think trancing allows a lot of great little character quirks, personally! Some of my oc might draw, read, maintain gear, volunteer for longer watches, etc instead of sleep. but my fave is def the one that just likes to lay in bed & wait patiently for everyone else to get up bc they feel awkward

With sleep, comes dreams! And with dreams, there are possibilities!!

My dnd character making/giving gifts for their friends and not wanting any recognition for it because they’re embarrassed to show emotion and love huh I wonder where that trait came from #dnd #thehotmesses

I like the contrast tbh - Tandrii is kind of a special case where she prefers to sleep because she has a limited pool of memories to revisit by trancing but it's extremely funny to compare with Mr Has To Beat The Sunrise

I LOVE messing with the concept of trance. The idea of reliving memories or past lives or connecting with spirits of the material plane and all that is so so fun for story beats.
