after The Problem Wit’s Apu came out it was honestly distressing to have to explain to people that no matter what Apu’s backstory or character in the show is, people still said “thank you come again” in that fake ass accent to make fun of me and my family

a lot of what people call "slop" now was called "shovelware" before. AI has worsened this problem and made people more broadly aware of the value of human creativity without a doubt but this is the direction things were heading in regardless
