A wet and windy day in Norfolk, with thousands of birds on the move. Hundreds of Redwings, Bramblings, Pink-footed Geese & a Great Egret over my Norwich garden, Waxham seawatching = Leach's Petrel, Long-tailed Skua, Short-eared Owl, Bonxies, Little Gulls, hundreds of Wigeon & Brent Geese. Hurrah!

I was pleasantly surprised to find a Willow Tit at a former breeding site in east Cornwall following a run of several years with zero encounters. This is an increasingly scarce species away from the traditional South West stronghold of the Tamar Lakes #ukbirding #cornwallbirding

Buff-breasted Sandpiper was not a species on my radar for Cyprus. Delighted to find one today whilst guiding a group around Larnaca - First record for Cyprus! A very smart bird, many years since I’ve seen one #cyprusbirds

Two adult Pom Skuas off the Isle of May inc this dark bird which interestingly was being mobbed by an Arctic Skua. Check out the size difference!
