Life update: I’m the new US ambassador to Greece! I’ve obtained a longterm visa, and I’ll be living in Greece for the next three years (at least). I’ve got a simple job, too: writer. I’m setup so I can just write & make art fulltime until 2030. Curious & thrilled for where this will take me. Πάμε!!

Where I work, 65k covers ONE year of undergraduate education. Fortunately VU has needs blind admissions and Opportunity Vanderbilt means kids whose parents make under $200k get the help they need for all 4 years, but most pricier institutions don't have billions in endowments for this.

Reminder that federal loans are now capped at $65k total for undergrads, $20.5k/year for grad students & $50k/year ($200k lifetime limit) for professional programs (med, law). These limits change which programs remain financially viable without family wealth or private loans.
