I've shared this video before, but if you have some time, this is a rewarding watch. Lascelles shares many stories from his early career, such as recording for Coxsone Dodd and helping artists like Joe Higgs and a teenage Peter Tosh... youtu.be/P114i-XvSGE?... #reggae #reggaesky #music #musicsky
Show PostHappy 94th birthday to Lascelles Perkins, one of the last survivors from the pre-ska years of Jamaican music. Here's a great duet he made with Hortense Ellis. This was originally released on the Worldisc label in 1961... youtu.be/FWXWnTQrLdI?... #reggae #reggaesky #vinyl #music #musicsky
