It’s telling that a eugenics loving racist gets a petition with hundreds of important academics that sign on and our faculty member fired for teaching queer lit is ignored. This is not about academic freedom….

Something not been discussed much yet is the brand of diversity talk, esp around race, that Arday propagated, one entirely unthreatening & entirely palatable to neoliberal managers. It's pernicious in its own right, though he's hardly the only such. Perhaps that's a conversation for another day.
