The problem is always that on Congressional and Senate maps that are tilted so badly towards Republicans, the optimal strategy *in all of the individual competitive elections* is usually to run as a bipartisan problem solver even while the optimal strategy for the party as a whole is to trash Trump

Anyway I'm obviously not the guy who came up with this idea but the thing Dems need to do is have a paid and organic media strategy that promotes the "hey Dems are great and Republicans are evil" message year-round in addition to the targetted stuff for specific elections/candidates
