overall, i think the story is written well. what makes ruby and iske's love story good is how devoted iske is with her. for how much she has suffered, she needed that kind of love. i like him better now but can't say he's in my top male leads. but i definitely love the way he loves ruby.

about enzo, i don't feel much. sure he didn't abuse ruby unlike cesar and pope but his ignorance also made ruby suffer. he was in the same household and received favoritism from the pope but sure, he's got his life outside in the brothels.

it all started with the pope. cesar treated ruby with the 'love' that the pope made him feel—what was more of a punishment. he was sick in the head and a hypocrite bcs instead of protecting her from it, he subjected her to the same pain he went through.

for some reason, i remember khalid from him. they seemed to have a good relationship initially but he chose to ruin it bcs of his greed. he thought he was doing it for her sake but he just added to her trauma.
