First day of cool weather in New Orleans always comes with is someone using their fireplace near me or is there a house fire. My house is smelling smoky.

I had a brief moment hopefulness this morning when it occurred to me we are moving back to New Orleans a few months after the next president is inaugurated. The feeling was short lived. I’m still not convinced it will be safe to move back. I guess we’ll know more after the midterms.

Hey! Land of the Ziggurat! The history and railroad museum there was a staple for elementary/jr high field trips for Bay Area schools. Like walk through the state capitol building then go do the museum.
