The replies here are just disconnected from the reality of modern web development in the last year. It would've been irresponsible not to use whatever tool they could to ensure uptime and fix critical vulnerabilities as fast as possible while attacks were being conducted.

Something odd happens if you argue that the concept of machine is not well fit to describe living systems. Often, the response is not just that it's wrong: it's heretic (vitalism!). What this says is that the machine view of life is more a modern crypto-Christian belief than a scientific theory.

Coding... Yeah, that's one of the worst ones in terms of how the industry is in essentially ruins and largely ununionised. The whole debate around using these so-called tools in coding is no different to any other bothsidesism that destroys skills and expertise.
