I've heard the argument that we can't do retractable bollards here because of the weather/ice but clearly that was just an excuse. Looks like we need to start advocating for retractable bollards at all the problem spots where drivers are going where they shouldn't.

Pedestrianizing Nicollet Mall is a good idea, but the way City leaders think about this space is deeply flawed. The bad design of 2015 which treats it as a "walled garden" for corporate events needs to be rethought. And restaurants who turn their back on the streetscape like this should be illegal.

I live in one of the most progressive zipcodes in the state. Every time I check my mailbox I have glossy 6x11 political mailers warning about how bad Klobuchar/Flannagan/Ellison/Simon are for Gaza/Trans-kids/Boundary-Waters/Etc Ya'll... leftist orgs don't have the money to be sending these.
