I think a lot about how many white adopters I've seen get offended at the suggestion that they move to a new neighborhood or church, choose schools or extracurriculars carefully, but they fully expect the Black or brown kid they've adopted to quietly assimilate into their all white neighborhood

The funniest thing I've heard yet today is that people think #adoption agencies actually consult with extended family members or fathers first before "placing" babies with strangers. I mean come on! They're businesses that depend on a supply of infants to make money! Why would they risk a sale?! 🥚
