The video from the presentation isn’t published yet, but it’ll be available on www.youtube.com/@MicroConf soon. In the meantime, what’s your take? If you are a SaaS operator, what moats do you believe are still defensible and which ones aren’t?
Show PostLast week at Microconf US 2026 in Portland, OR I had a blast presenting a 10 minutes attendee presentation titled the Rise of AI Generated Apps - And What It Means for SaaS.
Show PostI laid out what the current state-of-the-art is with generative AI and how non-engineers are using it to build applications, talked about which moats are no longer defensible (features anyone?) and which moats are still viable (like building in regulated environments).
Show PostThank you to the Microconf organizers Sonia, @tracyosborn.com , and @robwalling.com for providing me with the opportunity to give the talk.
