"whats wrong with the younger generation why is no one having kids anymore" like 5 seconds after they cut all the school buses and fired half the teachers because there's no property tax revenue to fund them anymore
Show PostFYI this post made a billionaire angry on the other platform, that should make you feel better.
Show PostThis is the easiest argument in the world to rebut: if you are concerned about this you can create a system by which seniors can defer paying property tax increases until they die or sell their home. The state, unlike you, is immortal and doesn't really care when you actually pay
Show PostNo. You have it wrong. THey have argued they have editorial power, because they do. It's so weird, you're like the 50th person to make this blatantly false argument to me tonight. It's astounding how uninformed people are about the law here.
Show PostThat was the FTC's argument in the Media Matters case. "It's just a CID, what's wrong with that?" Judge noted that the CID (the equivalent of a subpoena) was retaliatory. You can argue that the FTC is not Congress, but they are both part of the gov't, both issuing subpoenas for "investigations."
