Show Post@stanfordbirder.bsky.social thanks for the tip :-). Whooper Swans were relaxing at Stanford Reservoir this morning. Shortly after they all tucked their heads in and fell asleep!!
Show PostI just got back from a lovely stay on St Agnes, Isles of Scilly, and was feeling a bit glum, but finding this Isabelline Wheatear on my patch has cheered me up no end! The last one I saw was several decades ago...On St Agnes! (Well, Gugh, to be completely accurate). #norfolkbirding #ukbirding
Show PostOne of three Radde's Warblers @flamboroughbird.bsky.social today, with a second individual joining this bird in a mere handful of stunted sycamores late afternoon. Didn't have time for the sea, so missed 3 White-billed Divers, 7 Leach's Petrels, 3 Storm Petrels, 3 Grey Phalaropes & a Sabine's Gull!
Show PostTwo Twite with Linnets along Grafham Water dam this evening (found by Richard Patient early AM). Just my third patch sighting, after two I found in 2005 and one I found in 2010. A locally mega bird nowadays (sadly) @cambsbirdclub.bsky.social #ukbirding
