These awards are designed for special acts which go above and beyond the call of duty. Every agency where I’ve worked requires written justification and approvals and I’ve never seen an award over a couple thousand dollars. This is taxpayer money and isn’t meant to be handed out Oprah style.

BREAKING: In our lawsuit with @publiccitizen.bsky.social the judge just ruled that the Office of Management and Budget must restore its website that shows how it is spending taxpayer dollars. The judge had some strong words for OMB about the illegal removal of the site:
