I absolutely did not have time to ride my horse today… but it was 85F on the coast in October so I went and rode my horse anyways. Yes, we got seriously benighted and no I don’t care that I’m still working at 11pm now. Worth it.

It's #NationalFossilDay—https://nps.gov/subjects/fossilday/! We always try to do something outreach-y & this year I gave an invited talk to the @ohiouniversity.bsky.social Geology Club. The focus was how anatomical studies of modern-day species can shed light on the biology of extinct dinosaurs. 🦖🦕
