Today I was tagged by a user on Mastodon who discovered this long lost cheat code. I still have the plush bunny and cow from the photos- the rabbit was a present I gave my wife, and the cow was a silly valentines thing she sent me while were dating.2/2 mastodon.social/@Dandu/11725...

OMG. 29 years ago I put an Easter egg in Duke Nukem 3D Mac, that replaced two of the in-game posters with pictures of a couple plush animals I had. I never told anyone other than my wife about the code (DNGLENDA) and completely forgot I did this. 1/2

Another detail on the bunny in the easter egg. When my wife and I were dating, we lived in different states. I bought two identical bunnies, sent one to her and kept the other. Hers was “Glenda Rabbit“, mine was ”Suellen Rabbit”. This way we’d have something to hold when we couldn’t be together. 1/2

When I lost my wife to cancer four years ago, after 25 years together, Glenda Rabbit was cremated with her so she’d have part of me would always be there. I still keep Suellen Rabbit near me every night. When I’m gone, Suellen Rabbit will be cremated with me. 2/2
