Started playing Mixtape and this game is firmly in the uncanny valley of nostalgia. I can't make sense of its incoherent jumble of 80s/90s references unless it's in the same universe as San Junipero, and all the characters are aging gen Xers with dementia who have forgotten they're in a simulation

I'd been waiting to roll credits to fully talk about this game, but it is almost certainly going to be my GOTY. It's SO good. Gorgeous art, gorgeous music, and genuinely one of the most human stories I've ever heard, about brotherly love and what it means to be alive. Absolutely pick Nocturne up.
