🇹🇭 Amid reports of budget cuts prompting production changes, #EurovisionAsia has confirmed that “there are no plans to cancel or postpone the event.”
Show Post🇹🇭 Aftonbladet reports the EBU has cut #EurovisionAsia’s budget by about $1M from roughly $4.5M ahead of the 14 November show in Bangkok. The international production team has reportedly been replaced with local Thai staff.
Show Post🇹🇭 Additionally, Aftonbladet reports that production company Voxovation is now majority-owned by tech entrepreneur RJ Phillips, whose platform Zoop is the main sponsor. The EBU’s Martin Green didn’t dispute the changes and said the budget “matches the level of ambition.”
