In Glasgow I was just asked by a young Nigerian guy about the Mandela statue. He was blown away with Nelson Mandela Place, the posties refusing to deliver PO Box correspondence to the South African consulate and the statue itself. You should have seen the smile on his face. Made my day. #Glesga

The Rwanda stuff was regarded as wildly extreme, needlessly cruel and obviously racist at first, but then lots of important people started treating it as Sensible and Moderate and now nobody is embarrassed to say it. And that is just How It Works.
