Absolutely love this “There is wonder to be found everywhere”. It’s why I rarely hunt out rarities but can spend hours fascinated by urban ‘weeds’ on walls, pavements and in gutters. And I’ll never look at Herb-Robert in the same way again. Thank you Sarah!

This Yellow Stagshorn (Calocera viscosa) was positively glowing in Affpuddle Forest yesterday. The dark bark out of which it was growing providing a lovely contrast. Happy #MushroomMonday, #FungiFriends. 🍄🍄‍🟫

A lovely day #fungifriends wandering midst waxcaps in the Peak District 🥰 Finally caught up with & smelt the Cedarwood Waxcap & my first time seeing Bitter. A good day, 12 species of waxcap seen in total & if the possible Splendid is confirmed 13, not bad at all! Early for #mushroommonday 🍄 📸

Still pretty hot and dry here, so it was a novelty to get caught in a shower of rain. ☔ The way the water beaded on the Oxeye Daisies caught my eye. There were lots flowering on this patch of grassland, but they were all much shorter than the ones I tend to see along the verges. #wildflowerhour
