Arresting someone without charge, explanation, or due process to silence dissent is unconstitutional. This type of thing happens in dictatorships, not America. You don’t have to agree with Mahmoud Khalil to defend his rights—if his freedoms can be taken by the Trump administration, so can yours.

Putin & Trump have choreographed a scam where Trump will announce tomorrow that he persuaded Putin to allow a Ukrainian army surrounded to return home, and will use that to try to legitimize Putin’s demands so they can blame Ukraine when they don’t accept them. It is all a lie.

I also asked head of USAID Pete Marocco what legal authority allows him to withhold congressionally appropriated funds from Ukraine. He said he didn't understand the question.
Show PostToday’s vote wasn’t about keeping government open. It was about Congressional Republicans handing over their power - the power of the purse - to the President. There is no separation of powers so long as Congressional Republicans continue to show unfettered fealty to Trump. I voted NO.
