Six high-powered pumps that will be used to reroute wastewater around the collapsed section of the Potomac Interceptor. I'll continue to monitor the status of repairs, and my office is requesting an update on the status of aging pipes and infrastructure at risk of future rupture.

The Potomac should be a crown jewel of D.C. — it’s heartbreaking to see it contaminated by biohazard waste. Protecting the health of residents and our environment must always be a top priority for the District.
