My budgie died yesterday. He fought hard but couldn't eat anymore, so I brought him to a vet to end his pain. He was 13, and he had not had a good life before I got him. Such a small animal but he owned all of my heart. Now the last shred of light is gone. Mommy loves you, Leo. Hope to see you soon.

This is my dog, Harley, who I am sad to say has now passed away at the age of sixteen. While I have had dogs before her, she was the first dog who was truly mine. She loved me fiercely, she was very protective and, while she could be high strung, her heart was always in the right place. RIP Harley.
