Honestly, outside of Wales, I don’t really think I could picture (or tolerate) living anywhere else, beyond maybe immigrating to a more trans-accepting country entirely, which, given my disability status, would be incredibly hard to do. 😅

Its funny seeing Americans get bent out of shape about drag queens and kids considering most Merseyside kids knew who and what Lily Savage was, and turned out fine. I’d say I turned out fine too, buuuut they’d probably use me as an example to point at and go “SEE!? They’re transing the youth!!” 😭

Despite being marooned on terf island, I do feel kinda’ lucky to have grown up on Merseyside, one of the more left leaning parts of the UK, our roots are in labour unions, opposing Thatcherism, and one of our most well known local celebrities was a gay drag icon (Paul O’grady/Lily Savage).
