I also reminded myself "perfect is the enemy of done", to do one thing at a time, and that I always feel better and less overwhelmed after cleaning and organizing my place.

I unpacked 90% of my stuff and cleaned a little bit of my apartment just now — within 24 hours of arriving home from a long trip — despite severe ADHD and no meds today. I did it by telling myself "Future You will appreciate this" and not sitting down. Playing my favorite music also helped.
