Historical dramas somebody should really make, an occasional series: the British royal family, 1816-1837 Start off making the viewer think it's about George IV being an awful husband, then after Princess Charlotte's death pivot to his brothers realising they all need to get married and sire an heir

Something that I think had a massive knock-on effect was Labour having literally no policy offer on pensions under Miliband. It wouldn't have won us a majority, but I think it's very conceivable it could have denied Cameron a majority which means no Brexit referendum.

Also struck by the thought of how closely entwined almost every PM-Chancellor pairing of my lifetime has been. Only Major and Johnson have both switched out chancellors and survived to tell the tale, and in the latter's case "survived" is perhaps something of a stretch. It's sink or swim together.
