Hi Steve. Thank you for overview, as always you give a unique - though depressing - insight into Russian society. My grandmother, a refugee in St Petersburg, was at the first demo of the Theremin. I covered this in my book Journeys of Hope:The Letters of Meyer and Sonia. share.google/oPzRgGRnW4cb...

Thanks for playing Zatsepin's melody for a 1973 sci-fi film Land of Sannikov. Derbenev added the much criticised words. Есть только миг in Russian is less than a moment, it's the blink of an eye, or a blinding flash. Hard to retain the meaning, rhythm & rhyme in English - but I've tried!

I really like the way you convey what it's like for the ordinary Russians, what they are told, and what they think. Concise too! Stay safe and take care Steve.

Really enjoyed your little sing-song with Mikhail, he spoke a lot of sense and I miss his measured manner.
