I feel like I'm in the last generation who didn't have MLB on TV growing up unless it was a special occasion. Or the Cubs on WGN. Wasn't a fan (but Brewers were AL, so it was non-threatening). Feels like Harry Carey and Ryne Sandberg were part of how I discovered baseball. RIP.

RIP, Ryne Sandberg

In February, while fighting cancer, Ryne Sandberg spent time in camp with the Cubs. "It feels good to be out here, fresh air, sunshine, around the guys. I mean, it feels really good." RIP to a class act, and to a player many kids around Chicagoland (myself included) wanted to be when we grew up.
