Show PostOnly the Bluesky moderation team can review reported DMs, and only in rare & absolutely necessary cases can moderators open DMs to investigate broader patterns of abuse. Access is extremely limited and tracked. Here's a thread from @safety.bsky.app that elaborates on DM safety & privacy:

If Paul's accurate here, you should make it far more clear that messages are stored in the clear, not just in announcements but in-app. The typical user isn't going to expect that anyone with database access will be able to read their messages, if that indeed is the case. bsky.app/profile/pfra...
